Digital skills and ISTE for effective learning.
This activity introduces students to digital learning and the ISTE Standards for Students. Students learn how technology can support goal setting, research, communication, creativity, collaboration, and responsible online behavior.
Students will review the seven ISTE Standards and connect them to real classroom examples. They will think about how digital tools can help them become empowered learners, digital citizens, knowledge constructors, innovative designers, computational thinkers, creative communicators, and global collaborators.
The activity encourages students to reflect on their current technology habits and identify ways they can use digital tools more responsibly and effectively. Students will create a short digital reflection explaining which ISTE standard is most important for their learning and why.
By completing this activity, students will better understand how technology should support learning, not distract from it. They will also practice responsible digital citizenship and learn how to make thoughtful choices when using online tools.
